UPS Flight Forward is currently operating a service to regularly deliver medical samples and specimens to the WakeMed hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. UPS Flight Forward also holds the distinction of being the first company to receive a Part 135 standard certification from the FAA that allows them to operate a drone delivery network in US airspace. Formally launched in 2019, UPS partnered up with startup company Matternet to go into this venture. UPS is another big player in this industry through their UPS Flight Forward subsidiary.
